DGHM list

Disinfectants listed by the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM = Deutschen Gesellschaft für Mikrobiologie und Hygiene). Formerly issued by the DGHM, this list is issued by the Disinfectants Commission in the Association for Applied Hygiene (VAH = Verbund für angewandte Hygiene e.V.) since 01 January 2006.

Guidelines of the DGHM

Test methods to prove the efficacy of chemical disinfectants intended for human medicine against bacteria and fungi. They are based on different approaches for examining hand, skin, surface, instrument, and linen disinfectants. A preparation can be certified or listed by the Disinfectant Commission in the VAH, when two independent tests yield the prescribed requirements (expert opinion).
