TBE virus

TBE stands for tick-borne encephalitis, an infection triggered by the TBE virus. The virus is enveloped and belongs to the family of Flaviviridae.

Especially children are at risk of acquiring meningitis triggered by TBE viruses.

TBE virus is primarily transmitted by ticks.
