In a broader sense, all measures to keep the skin healthy, because a healthy skin is the best protection against damaging influences.
Skin protection is based on 3 components:
- Skin protection, i.e. all measures carried out prior to skin-stressing activities (e.g. gloves, special protective ointments).
- Skin cleansing, i.e. all measures that soothe the skin and remove soils from the skin after skin-stressing activities.
- Skin care, i.e. all measures that are applied to the skin after skin-stressing activities to support the skin's natural regeneration.
