Antigen

Molecular structure that is, for example, found on the surface of microorganisms and induces an immune response as soon as microorganisms enter body fluids or penetrate cells (formation of Antibodies). On each new contact, the antibodies may react with the antigen quickly in a highly specific way and render them harmless.
